“My name is Annee Grøtte Viken. I come from Norway and I did my master in Interior Architecture at the Studio for Immediate Spaces (Sandberg Instituut) in Amsterdam. I feel very honoured and excited about being nominated for the BNI award. It is a great opportunity to show my work and meet new people.
My work developed during the two years at Sandberg. The studio includes ‘any space as a possible space’ and discussions about what this means opened up an interesting discourse and a critical reflection within the field of interior architecture that, for me, didn’t exist before. During these last two years I have explored writing as a tool for both thinking and making, for understanding and communicating with others, clients and collaborators.  And as a tool for pushing boundaries in how space can be approached. For now I will stay in the Netherlands, I have met many great, inspiring people here I like to see and to work with.I think it’s interesting being a part of and contribute to the creative scene here. I look forward to develop my work and one day to start my own practice.”
